Digital format is the fastest growing segment in commercial and consumer printing. Dry toner colors are thermoplastic powders based on polyester or styrene acrylics, with an average particle size of 5.0-10.0 microns. The particles are electro-statically deposited onto the substrate where they fuse upon contact with a heated roller. Applications include outdoor signage, security papers, photo shop and mass marketing brochures and catalogues.

Micronized polyethylene and polypropylene play an important role by acting as wetting agents for the color. Other benefits include improved ink adhesion, powder fusing, rub resistance and bulk powder flow. Micro Powders offers a wide range of products with carefully controlled particle sizes to meet any formulators’ requirements.
